10-30-25, unit was installed yesterday. After priming, truck fired right up. Old pump was fine. The float was the problem. Plastic on the top on the unit where the stainless rods insert were both cracked. As such, the rods failed and fell out along with the springs. They were lying in the bottom of the tank. The fuel line, return and pump wiring was allowing the pump to continue working while the pump was still submerged in the remaining fuel.Also happy it made it to the shop when it did. Was intending to order the rear window ones ended up with the rear tailgate ones and instead of returning I decided to replace the tailgate ones as well and my goodness was there a night and a day difference.
